JERUSALEM, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- EuroLeague side Hapoel Tel Aviv strengthened its roster Monday by signing American swingman Levi Randolph to a one-and-a-half-year contract, as it looks to halt a recent slide in the competition.
The 33-year-old small forward and shooting guard spent last season with city rival Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he averaged 12 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists across 33 EuroLeague appearances.
Randolph currently ranks fourth on the all-time scoring list in the FIBA Champions League, having amassed 1,030 points in 64 games while representing Sidigas Avellino, Dinamo Sassari, Strasbourg, Filou Oostende, and Hapoel Jerusalem.
His title list includes three Israeli State Cups, a Belgian league championship, where he was also named league MVP, and a French Cup title.
The 25-year-old has appeared in 178 NBA regular-season games for Brooklyn, Sacramento, and Dallas, averaging 3.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.6 assists.
Hapoel Tel Aviv has lost its last five EuroLeague games, slipping from first place to sixth in the 20-team standings. ■
