QUITO, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and two others injured late Wednesday in an armed attack in Ecuador's southwestern coastal city of Guayaquil, police said Thursday.
The shooting took place around midnight outside a school and adjacent to a park in the Las Orquideas neighborhood in northern Guayaquil.
According to witnesses, a group of armed men arrived in a vehicle and opened fire more than 50 times on the six people at the scene.
Four people were pronounced dead when police arrived.
