TESERO, Italy, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Norway's cross-country skier Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo won an eighth gold medal at the Milan Cortina Olympics on Friday, leveling an all-time Winter Games record.
The 29-year-old won the men's 10-kilometer interval start race for his third gold at the 2026 Games.
The Norwegian joins three compatriots on the same tally -- former cross-country skiers Marit Bjoergen and Bjoern Daehlie, and former biathlete Ole Einar Bjoerndalen.
Klaebo will have the chance to better the record at the Games, with other events still to come. ■
