BEIJING, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.09 percent to 4,131.98 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.35 percent lower at 14,160.93 points.
The combined turnover of these two indices totaled around 1.98 trillion yuan (about 285.15 billion U.S. dollars), down from 2.11 trillion yuan on the previous trading day.
Stocks in non-ferrous metals and chemicals sectors led the gains, while AI applications, tourism and CPO sectors posted the biggest losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 1.08 percent to close at 3,284.74 points on Wednesday.
The STAR Composite Index, which reflects the performance of stocks on China's sci-tech innovation board, closed 0.79 percent lower at 1,788.22 points on Wednesday. ■
