MEXICO CITY, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Guadalajara has completed the signing of Mexico under-23 midfielder Jonathan Perez from Nashville SC, the Liga MX club said on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old agreed to a contract that runs until December 2029 in a deal reportedly worth 2.5 million euros.
"Guadalajara continues to strengthen its sporting project in the medium and long term by securing the arrival of a player who will raise the squad's competitive level," read a statement on the club's official website.
Perez made 32 appearances for Nashville, scoring two goals and providing three assists, after arriving from LA Galaxy last August.
He is one of three additions to Gabriel Milito's squad this year, joining midfielder Brian Gutierrez and forward Angel Sepulveda. Striker Ricardo Marin has also rejoined the club after a year-long loan at Puebla.
Guadalajara currently leads the Liga MX Clausura tournament standings with five wins from five games so far. ■
