JERUSALEM, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Netanya announced on Tuesday the signing of French midfielder Wylan Cyprien.
The 31-year-old brings experience from spells in France, Italy, Switzerland, and most recently, the Chinese Super League.
Cyprien began his professional career at Lens, making more than 100 appearances before joining Nice in 2016, where he spent four seasons.
In 2020, he moved to Parma and remained under contract until 2025. During that period, Cyprien also had loan spells at Nantes, where he won the French Cup in 2022, and Swiss side Sion.
In January last year, he signed for Changchun Yatai in the CSL, playing 12 matches and scoring twice. The club finished the season bottom of the league and was relegated.
Maccabi Netanya currently sits eighth in the Israeli Premier League, four points adrift of sixth place, which secures a spot in the championship playoffs, with four matches remaining in the regular season. ■
