TESERO, Italy, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Norwegian star Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo won the gold medal in the men's cross-country sprint classic at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on Tuesday, securing his second title of the Games.

Klaebo held the lead for most of the final and crossed the line in 3 minutes, 39.74 seconds. American Ben Ogden finished 0.87 second behind to take silver, while Norway's Oskar Opstad Vike claimed bronze, 6.81 seconds back.

The victory was Klaebo's second gold at the ongoing Olympics and lifted his Olympic medal tally to seven golds, one silver and one bronze.

"It was amazing. We had perfect skis, and I felt, already in the prologue, that my shape was good," said Klaebo. "I was a little bit more relaxed before this race than I was before Sunday.

"It was good to have already done the first one, so that I could relax a little bit more and enjoy it. That was exactly what I did out there today."
