HANOI, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total foreign direct investment (FDI) disbursement reached 1.68 billion U.S. dollars in January, the highest level recorded for the month during the 2022-2026 period, the Vietnam News Agency reported Friday.
The figure also represented a year-on-year increase of 11.3 percent, the report said, citing the National Statistics Office of Vietnam.
Total registered FDI in the month, including newly registered capital, adjusted capital and capital contributions for share purchases, stood at 2.58 billion dollars, down 40.6 percent from a year earlier.
Singapore topped the list of foreign investors, with 1.07 billion dollars, followed by South Korea with 551 million dollars and China with 385 million dollars. ■
