GAZA, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Hamas on Tuesday accused Israel of continuing to restrict humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, deepening the crisis for displaced civilians amid worsening winter conditions.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said in a statement that Israel is limiting fuel and cooking gas to minimal quantities, violating the ongoing ceasefire agreement.

Qassem contested official Israeli reports on aid deliveries, noting that actual figures fall below half of those announced.

Additionally, Gaza Civil Defense said in a statement that fuel shortages have grounded its vehicles, limiting its ability to carry out humanitarian operations, and appealed international organizations and humanitarian agencies for urgent fuel supplies.

Meanwhile, Palestinian sources told Xinhua that a Palestinian man was killed by Israeli fire in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, alongside airstrikes east of the city and residential buildings demolitions east of Gaza City.

The Israeli side has not commented on the developments.

Since the latest ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, 529 Palestinians have been killed and 1,462 others injured, according to Gaza-based health authorities on Tuesday.
