KABUL, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Afghan police on Tuesday thwarted a drug smuggling attempt in the northern Badakhshan province, apprehending four suspects and seizing 23 kilograms of hashish, a spokesman for the provincial police office said.
The alleged drug smugglers, all Afghans, attempted to take hashish out of the province, but police identified the suspects and took them into custody, the official added. ■
