YANGON -- Myanmar's Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) has won a majority of seats in the Union Parliament, according to official results released by the Union Election Commission (UEC) on Thursday.
Latest figures from the UEC showed that the USDP has secured 231 seats in the Pyithu Hluttaw (Lower House) and 108 seats in the Amyotha Hluttaw (Upper House), totaling 339 seats. (Myanmar-Election)

DHAKA -- Bangladesh's largest technology showcase, the Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026, has kicked off in the capital Dhaka, drawing thousands of visitors to see cutting-edge technologies and innovations.

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia's stock exchange Bursa Malaysia has posted lower net profit in the financial year ended Dec. 31, 2025, amid falling revenue.
The firm said in a bourse filing that its net profit for the year fell to 250.16 million ringgit (63.69 million U.S. dollars) from 310.12 million ringgit a year ago.
