TEHRAN -- Iran said Thursday it has inducted 1,000 domestically developed "strategic combat" drones into the combat formations of its army divisions, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
The drones were distributed to the army's ground, air defense, naval, and air forces under the order of army chief Amir Hatami, the report said. (Iran-Drone-Induction)

GAZA -- Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces on Thursday near a sensitive ceasefire boundary in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said.

ANKARA -- Türkiye's gendarmerie has detained 171 suspected migrant smuggling organizers in a nationwide coordinated operation over the past two weeks, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Thursday.

TEHRAN -- Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) is scheduled to hold "live-fire" exercises in the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday and Monday as tensions remain extremely high between Tehran and Washington, Iran's Press TV news network reported.
In a post on social media platform X on Thursday, Press TV said that the drills will be carried out by the IRGC's Navy, describing the strait as "a chokepoint for the flow of 20 percent of the world's oil and natural gas." (Iran-IRGC-Drill) ■
