VLADIVOSTOK, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The driver of a car that overturned on Lake Baikal in Russia on Wednesday did not have a driver's license and had never obtained one, the Russian Investigative Committee said on Thursday.
The 41-year-old driver has been detained over charges of breaching safety regulations resulting in fatalities, said the committee in a statement on its Telegram channel.
A Chinese tourist died and four others sustained minor injuries after a car carrying tourists overturned on the frozen surface of Lake Baikal on Wednesday. ■
