BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Malick Ndiaye, the president of the Senegalese National Assembly, on Tuesday in Beijing.
Noting that Senegal is an important cooperation partner of China in Africa, Han said China highly appreciates Senegal's understanding and support for China on issues including the Taiwan question, human rights and Xinjiang-related issues.
China is willing to consolidate political mutual trust with Senegal, deepen cooperation, strengthen alignment of development strategies, enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples, and promote close communication and coordination on international and regional affairs, so as to make greater contributions to jointly building an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era, Han said.
Ndiaye said that Senegal firmly adheres to the one-China principle, and is willing to strengthen pragmatic cooperation with China in fields such as infrastructure and smart transportation, and to work with China to promote the development of Africa-China relations. ■
