MACAO, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) said on Friday that visitor arrivals to the SAR rose by 14.7 percent year-on-year in 2025.
A total of 40,069,360 visitor arrivals were recorded in the year, the statistics department said, adding that same-day visitors and overnight visitors rose by 24.6 percent and 3.1 percent year-on-year, respectively.
Regarding the source of visitors, the DSEC noted that visitors from the Chinese mainland increased by 18.5 percent year-on-year, while those from Hong Kong SAR and China's Taiwan region increased by 1.7 percent and 19.4 percent, respectively. International visitors increased by 13.7 percent year-on-year to 2,755,474. ■
