VLADIVOSTOK, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed and eight others injured on Thursday when a bus collided with a truck in Russia's Primorsky Krai, media reported.
According to Vladivostok News, the accident occurred on a highway in the Khasan district of Primorsky Krai. The truck lost control and veered into the oncoming lane, causing the collision. Of the 14 people on board the bus, the driver and two passengers were killed.
Russian media initially reported that the bus was carrying Chinese tourists. However, the Chinese Consulate General in Vladivostok said that no Chinese citizens were injured or killed in the accident.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. ■
