VIENTIANE, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Various activities were held across Laos to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the establishment of the Lao People's Army on Tuesday.
The Lao Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony on Wednesday to mark the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Army, chaired by Lao Deputy Prime Minister Chansamone Chanyalath.
In a related tribute, leaders nationwide laid wreaths at key historical sites to honor officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. ■
