Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed that policies for providing employment support for key groups should be refined. Top priority should be given to the employment of young people including college graduates, and more jobs should be created for them to apply what they have learned and what they are adept at.
In June 2022, at a critical juncture for graduate employment, President Xi visited Yibin University in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. He went to a job fair and learned about the hiring needs of companies and the employment rate of students. President Xi emphasized efforts to tap employment resources and provide pragmatic and careful guidance and services.
Bearing in mind President Xi’s instructions, in recent years, universities represented by Yibin University have continuously transformed their mindsets and adjusted their talent cultivation models, opening up new horizons in employment through a new thinking in seeking jobs.
