GENEVA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Volleyball World and Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) signed an agreement with the Dubai Sports Council as Dubai will host the FIVB Beach World Series for the next five years, the world volleyball governing body announced on Thursday.
Dubai will start to host the Series from November 2026 to be one of the ten destinations every year.
Michael Payne, Chairman of Volleyball World, said: "As we upgrade elite beach volleyball's format, content, presentation and partnership offering, Dubai is a natural founding destination for the 'Beach World Series' and a partner that fully embodies the ambition and potential of this new global property."
Further host destinations will be announced in the coming months as the FIVB Beach World Series continues to take shape across a select group of leading international locations. ■
