ISLAMABAD, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the country's southwest Balochistan province, the military said on Tuesday.
The operation was carried out on Jan. 12 in Kalat district following reports about the presence of terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, said in a statement.
The statement said security personnel engaged the suspected hideout, leading to an exchange of fire in which four terrorists were killed.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site, the ISPR said, adding that the militants were allegedly involved in multiple attacks in the area. ■
