ASTANA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan's GDP grew by 6.5 percent year on year in 2025, Kazinform news agency reported on Monday, citing preliminary data released by the country's Bureau of National Statistics.

Industry, transport, construction and trade were the main drivers of economic growth. The industrial production index rose 7.4 percent, with manufacturing posting steady growth of 6.4 percent.

Growth in the transport and warehousing sector reached 20.4 percent, supported by increased freight volumes by road and rail. The construction sector expanded by 15.9 percent, driven by infrastructure and social projects, while the trade sector recorded growth of 8.9 percent.

The Kazakh government has continued to implement systematic measures to diversify the economy, and macroeconomic indicators point to steady development across key sectors, Kazinform reported.
