DHAKA, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Tarique Rahman has been appointed as the chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), one of the leading political parties in the South Asian country.
The BNP's Standing Committee made the decision in a meeting on Friday, according to the Party's Media Cell Convener Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel. ■
