RABAT, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Algeria edged DR Congo 1-0 after extra time to reach the CAF Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals in Morocco on Tuesday, while Cote d'Ivoire dominated Burkina Faso 3-0.
Substitute Adil Boulbina delivered the decisive moment for Algeria in the 119th minute, just five minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Also on Tuesday, Amad Diallo opened the scoring for Cote d'Ivoire in the 20th minute, before Yan Diomande doubled the lead in the 32nd minute. Bazoumana Toure sealed the victory with three minutes left to play.
Algeria now faces a quarterfinal clash with Nigeria, while Cote d'Ivoire takes on Egypt on Saturday. ■
