WINDHOEK, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Cricket Namibia named a 16-man squad for the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup on Tuesday, as the "FNB Eagles" prepare for a fourth straight appearance at the tournament.

India and Sri Lanka will co-host the biennial event from Feb. 7 to March 8.

Veteran all-rounder Gerhard Erasmus will captain the side, which combines established players with younger options.

Head coach Craig Williams will work with an experienced support staff, including former India and South Africa coach Gary Kirsten as a consultant. Assistant coach Justin Kemp and fielding coach Evert Laubscher are also part of the setup.

Namibia was drawn in Group A and will face defending champion India, along with Pakistan, the Netherlands and the United States in the opening round.
