BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's postal services marked a significant milestone with the soft launch of its corporatized entity, PosBru Sdn Bhd, on Saturday, signaling a new chapter in the transformation of the national postal sector.
The soft launch represents an early phase in PosBru's transition toward becoming a more robust, commercially sustainable, and digitally enabled national postal operator for Brunei.
The corporatization initiative is aimed at strengthening operational efficiency while positioning the postal service to adapt to changing market dynamics and customer expectations.
Brunei's Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Pengiran Hajah Zety Sufina, who serves as chairperson of PosBru Sdn Bhd, highlighted the company's commitment to enhancing service efficiency and driving innovation within the postal sector. She said the transformation is intended to better meet the evolving needs of the public and the business community. ■
