ISLAMABAD, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- A police check post in Pakistan's Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province came under attack in the early hours of Saturday, killing a person and leaving three others injured, said police.
At least two policemen were among the injured, Israr Khan, spokesperson for the district police, told the media, adding that a group of terrorists attacked the check post using both heavy and light weapons.
Following the attack, a joint team consisting of security forces and police reached the area and kicked off a clearance operation.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. ■
