BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted 4 km NNW of Rancho Viejo, Mexico at 1358 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 16.90 degrees north latitude and 99.30 degrees west longitude. ■
