SAO PAULO, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Six members of the same family, including two babies, were killed early Monday in a road accident involving a car and a truck in southern Brazil's Parana state, local media reported, citing the Fire Department.
The crash occurred on state highway PR-170 in the municipality of Rolandia in northern Parana, near Argentina and Paraguay, while the family was returning from the beach, according to Globo news network.
The truck involved was traveling from the municipality of Birigui in the southeastern Sao Paulo state to Parana's municipality of Mandaguari.
The victims were a married couple and their three children, including a teenager and twin babies, as well as a nephew who was traveling with the family.
Forensic teams have arrived at the scene to gather evidence to determine the cause of the accident, while the bodies of the victims were taken to the Legal Medical Institute in the city of Londrina. ■
