SYDNEY, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and six others injured in a serious car accident on a highway in the state of South Australia on Wednesday, police said in a statement.
Police were called to the Horrocks Highway at Tarlee in the state's mid-north just after 5:30 a.m. local time after reports that a minivan carrying eight people had lost control and rolled.
Two male passengers died at the scene, and six other occupants, including the driver, sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The deaths are the 86th and 87th lives lost on South Australian roads in 2025. ■
