SYDNEY, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- The health authority in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) issued an urgent health alert after legionnaires' disease was detected in the Sydney central business district (CBD), News Corp Australia newspapers reported on Sunday.
The report said that three people, who are not known to each other, were admitted to hospital with the infection after spending time near Clarence Street in the Sydney CBD between Dec. 9 and 18.
NSW Health urged anyone who visited the area to be vigilant and monitor for symptoms of the potentially deadly disease. ■
