MANILA -- Four people were killed and at least 23 others injured after a passenger bus plunged into a ravine along a highway in Camarines Sur province on Luzon island in the Philippines on Friday morning, police said.
The bus, which was carrying 27 people, including the driver and the alternate driver, was traveling southbound from Metro Manila, and the accident occurred in the municipality of Del Gallego, police said. (Philippines-Crash-Death)

JERUSALEM -- Two people were killed and another one injured in a stabbing-ramming attack in northern Israel on Friday, according to Israeli police, emergency service and media reports.
The emergency service Magen David Adom said that an 18-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man were killed in the attack, adding that a teenager was injured in the incident and has been taken to hospital. (Israel-Attack-West Bank)

KUALA LUMPUR -- Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak was sentenced to 15 years in jail over four counts of abuse of power in a case related to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) on Friday.

KIEV -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that he plans to meet soon with U.S. President Donald Trump.
"We have agreed on a meeting at the highest level -- with President Trump in the near future," Zelensky wrote on Telegram after a conversation with Rustem Umerov, head of the Ukrainian delegation to the peace talks with the U.S.
