HANOI, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's 16th National Assembly is projected to convene its first session on April 6, 2026, lasting about 22 working days and divided into two phases, local daily Nhan Dan reported Wednesday.
The first phase of the session, scheduled from April 6 to 22, will focus on organizational and personnel matters during the first nine working days, followed by presentations and group discussions on several draft laws.
Vietnamese lawmakers will discuss socio-economic issues, the state budget and the supervisory program, and are also expected to vote on draft laws and resolutions during the second phase from May 11 to 21. ■
