HONG KONG, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 jolted Papua New Guinea Region at 10:31:28 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 108.8 km, was initially determined to be at 5.78 degrees south latitude and 145.50 degrees east longitude. ■
