MOSCOW, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Russian authorities will strive to increase Russians' salaries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday.
"Of course, we will work to raise wage levels and ensure that incomes, especially the incomes of families with children, do not decline," Putin said during his annual press conference.
"Everything should, in general, revolve around the family, and that is exactly what we are striving to do," Putin added.
"We all understand that the current family support measures are insufficient," he said, "We will continue, first of all, to improve this family support system. The entire state policy, both at the federal and regional levels, must revolve around this goal," Putin said. ■
