SEOUL, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Prices for goods and services among South Korean suppliers rose for the third successive month in November amid the local currency's sharp fall against the U.S. dollar, central bank data showed Friday.

The producer price index (PPI) advanced 0.3 percent in November from a month earlier after going up 0.4 percent in September and 0.3 percent in October, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK).

The consecutive growth was attributable to the weaker South Korean currency. The won versus dollar exchange rate soared to 1,470.6 won per dollar at the end of November from 1,424.4 won a month earlier.

Producer prices for industrial products, including oil products, gained 0.8 percent last month, faster than an increase of 0.7 percent in the previous month.

Prices for coal and oil products jumped 5.0 percent in November on a monthly basis after sliding 0.4 percent in the prior month.

The service price was up 0.1 percent on the spike of the finance and insurance service cost, which mounted 1.2 percent.

The price for agricultural, livestock and fishery products among suppliers declined 2.1 percent in November after diving 4.2 percent in October.

The price for electricity, natural gas and tap water was down 0.4 percent in November on a monthly basis.
