HAMAR, Norway, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- American speed skater Jordan Stolz capped a perfect weekend with five gold medals, while the United States and Canada claimed the men's and women's team pursuit World Cup trophies respectively at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup here on Sunday.

Stolz added two titles on the final day to his victories in the first 500m, 1,000m and 1,500m earlier in the weekend.

In the second men's 500m race, the 21-year-old edged Poland's Damian Zurek by just 0.001 seconds, with both skaters stopping the clock at 34.14. Japan's Yuta Hirose took bronze.

Stolz then capped his dominance by winning his first career World Cup mass start gold. He broke away from the pack with two laps remaining, finishing ahead of Olympic champion Bart Swings of Belgium and Italy's Andrea Giovannini.

The U.S. men's squad of Casey Dawson, Emery Lehman and Ethan Cepuran clocked 3:40.28 to win the team pursuit gold, securing their fifth consecutive World Cup trophy. Italy and the Netherlands rounded out the podium.

On the women's side, Canada's Isabelle Weidemann, Valerie Maltais and Ivanie Blondin edged the United States by 0.09 seconds to win the race and clinch the season's World Cup trophy. Japan finished third.
