KABUL, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has granted 45,000 work permits as part of ongoing efforts to rejuvenate the country's labor market over the past year, the local media Tolo news reported on Monday.

According to the report, among the granted permits, a significant portion was awarded to women, along with approximately 3,000 foreign nationals. This initiative is a key component of Afghanistan's broader strategy to strengthen its workforce amidst ongoing economic challenges.

The Ministry has highlighted the importance of skills development and the creation of stable employment opportunities to foster economic stability, the report said.

In recent years, authorities have worked to enhance the labor sector by improving access to job opportunities and fostering training programs aimed at strengthening the nation's workforce.
