MEXICO CITY, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Uruguayan manager Robert Siboldi has parted ways with Mazatlan after less than seven months in the role, the Mexican top flight club said on Friday.
The Liga MX side won just two of its 17 league fixtures under Siboldi's stewardship as it missed the playoffs in the 2025 Apertura tournament.
"We understand the reasons for his decision and we deeply appreciate his professionalism and dedication," read a club statement.
Siboldi, whose managerial career also includes spells in charge of Tigres UANL, Cruz Azul and Santos Laguna, among other clubs, will be replaced on an interim basis by assistant Christian Ramirez.
The new Liga MX Clausura season will run from January 9 until May 14. ■
