BEIJING, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Wang Huning met with President of Luxembourg's Parliament Claude Wiseler in Beijing on Friday.
Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said China is willing to work with Luxembourg, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, to uphold mutual respect, strengthen mutual trust, deepen cooperation and seek common development.
He also said that China is ready to promote people-to-people exchanges and connectivity between the two countries, advance closer multilateral coordination and global cooperation, and promote the steady and sustained progress of bilateral ties and the development of China-Europe relations.
The CPPCC National Committee is willing to contribute to the friendly cooperation between China and Luxembourg, Wang added.
Noting that Luxembourg is a friend of China, Wiseler said the country adheres to the one-China principle and hopes to further enhance cooperation in economy, trade, finance, culture and other fields, becoming a good example of win-win development for countries of different sizes.
Luxembourg upholds multilateralism and is ready to work with China to jointly address global challenges, Wiseler added. ■
