YANGON, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's men's and women's Chinlone (caneball) teams won gold medals at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Bangkok, Thailand, the state-owned daily The Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Thursday.
The women's team clinched the gold medal by defeating host Thailand 502-446. The men's team also secured gold, beating Thailand 574-501, the report said.
As of Dec. 10, Myanmar had earned two gold medals in Chinlone and more medals in other sports including sepak takraw, petanque, canoe sprint, taekwondo, and cricket events, it said.
The 33rd SEA Games, hosted by Thailand, runs from December 9 to 20. ■
