YANGON, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar exported over 1.78 million tons of rice and broken rice in the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2025-2026, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation on Wednesday.
The Southeast Asian country earned about 575 million U.S. dollars from the exports between April and November this year, the federation's data showed.
During the period, the country exported via both sea and land routes to more than 30 countries and regions, it said.
The federation aims to reach a target of 3 million tons of rice exports for the full 2025-2026 fiscal year. ■
