MADRID, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Third tier sides, Guadalajara and Talavera claimed the big prizes in the draw for Spain's Copa del Rey knockout tournament which was held on Tuesday.
The draw saw the four sides who will play in the Spanish Supercup at the start of January (FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao) enter the tournament, with ties against the lowest ranked sides in the competition.
Guadalajara, who play in the RFEF I has been given a lucrative tie at home to FC Barcelona as a reward for beating second division Ceuta in the second round, while Talavera, who also plays at the same level will play at home to Real Madrid.
RFEF II (fourth tier) Atletico Baleares' reward for knocking La Liga outfit, Espanyol out of the tournament is a tie at home to Atletico Madrid while Athletic Bilbao faces RFEF I side Ourense.
The ties will be played between Dec. 16-18. ■
