BEIJING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted Kuril Islands at 1634 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 50.29 degrees north latitude and 156.79 degrees east longitude. ■
