JERUSALEM, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli military said Thursday it had carried out a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon, hitting "several" Hezbollah weapons storage facilities about an hour after issuing evacuation warnings for two nearby villages.
An IDF spokesperson said in a statement that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will continue to operate to remove any threat to Israel.
Video footage showed a house in the Lebanese town of Al-Mjadel on fire following the strikes.
A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah has been in place since November 2024, but Israel has continued to conduct near-daily strikes in southern Lebanon, saying it targets Hezbollah activity. ■
