CHONGLI, China, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Fourteen-year-old Chinese snowboarder Zhou Yizhu, also known as Patti Zhou, won the women's halfpipe title at the Snow League competition on Friday at Genting Snow Park.

Zhou advanced to the final after defeating Japan's Sena Tomita. In the final, she faced Mitsuki Ono, who had beaten Rise Kudo in the other semifinal, and secured the championship after three runs.

Founded by snowboard legend Shaun White, the Snow League is an invitation-only event, independent of the International Ski Federation (FIS). It features top snowboarders and freestyle skiers from around the world and follows a knockout format.

At 14, Zhou is not yet eligible for FIS World Cup events but has already demonstrated advanced skills. She has competed in events such as the FIS European Cup and the Winter Dew Tour, gaining recognition in the sport.

Alongside Beijing 2022 Olympic snowboard champion Su Yiming, Zhou received the "Red Bull Helmet" for excellence in extreme sports in 2024.
