LONDON, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Edinburgh Airport, Scotland's busiest airport, temporarily halted all flight operations on Friday due to an IT issue affecting its air traffic control system.
"Due to an IT issue with our air traffic control provider, no flights are currently operating from Edinburgh Airport," said the airport in a statement. Later, the airport said that flights resumed.
The airport handled 15.8 million passengers in 2024, with 37 airlines flying to 155 destinations, according to official data. ■
