RIYADH, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia's Cabinet on Tuesday approved the state budget for 2026 with a projected deficit of 165.4 billion Saudi riyals (about 44.1 billion U.S. dollars).
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), total revenues are estimated at about 1.1 trillion riyals, while expenditure is set at some 1.3 trillion riyals.
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, who also chairs the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, directed officials to effectively implement the budget's programs to support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, with a focus on citizens and public services, the SPA reported.
Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al Jadaan said on social media platform X that the budget reflects the government's commitment to directing resources toward national priorities, supporting economic growth, and expanding non-oil activities. ■
