TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday the United States has become the "biggest threat" to international peace and security due to its recent behavior towards other countries.

DAMASCUS -- Israeli forces carried out a new ground incursion into Syria's Quneitra countryside on Monday amid heightened military activity near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, according to a monitoring group and Syrian state media.
Britain-based watchdog the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that an Israeli patrol consisting of two military vehicles and a convoy including three tanks and two troop carriers moved into several areas in central Quneitra, supported by drones and armored vehicles. RIYADH -- The International Conference on Nuclear and Radiological Emergencies kicked off here on Monday, focusing on enhancing emergency preparedness and response.
Organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in cooperation with Saudi Arabia's Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC), the four-day event gathers more than 450 participants from over 100 countries and four international organizations, according to an IAEA statement. RIYADH -- Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak signed here on Monday an agreement on mutual visa exemption for citizens of both countries, according to a statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The exemption applies to all types of passports. It allows visa-free entry for visitors traveling for tourism, business, or to visit relatives and friends, for up to 90 consecutive or nonconsecutive days within a year. (Saudi Arabia-Russia-Visa Exemption) ■
