BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted south of Tonga Islands at 2342 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 93.4 km, was initially determined to be at 26.98 degrees south latitude and 175.73 degrees west longitude. ■
