KABUL, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and one injured when a car overturned in eastern Afghanistan's Logar province on Friday night, according to a statement from provincial police spokesman Mawlawi Ahmadullah Anas on Saturday.
The official attributed the accident to reckless driving, stating that the crash occurred in the provincial capital Pul-e-Alam.
This marks the fourth road accident reported in various parts of Afghanistan over the past four days, with a cumulative toll of 15 deaths and nearly twenty injuries.
According to local residents, deteriorating road conditions, the prevalence of outdated vehicles on congested highways, insufficient safety measures, and widespread non-compliance with traffic regulations are common factors contributing to fatal accidents in post-war Afghanistan. ■
